The 14th Annual Easter Sand Sculpture kicks off April 14th and it continues to grow larger and larger each year, drawing thousands to Northwestern Ohio.  On Common Ground is having their free community Easter Sand Sculpture event starting Monday, April 14 through Sunday, April 20, 2014. The event will be held at the Hancock County Fairgrounds in Findlay, OH and will be open daily to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. to view the creation of the 300 ton Easter San Sculpture. Throughout the week there will be many free events to the public.

Schedule of Events (All events are free)

Creation: Monday, April 14 through Friday, April 18 – Come visit and watch the creation of the 300 ton Easter Sand Sculpture.  Watching isn’t enough?  Ask to volunteer to help create the Easter master piece.

Kids’ 5 Day Club: Monday, April 14 through Friday, April 18 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. – Bring the kids out for fun and exciting time learning about the purpose of Easter with the 5 Day Club held at the Hancock County Fairgrounds.

Kids Day: Friday, April 18 from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. – The Sand Sculpture is completed, time to let the kids in the sand to build with artist Roger Powell and then set loose to hunt for hidden Easter eggs buried in the sand.  The day also provides fun for the entire family with an entertaining ventriloquist and live music.

Family Day: Saturday April 19 from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Providing a free complimentary lunch at 11:00 a.m. with live entertainment that includes drama productions, live music and time to meet the artist Roger Powell.

Sunrise Service: Sunday, April 20 from 6:30 – 7:15 a.m. – The most amazing experience of the week to be outside early in the morning with thousands of community members of all denominations to hear the message of Easter accompanied with the community choir and ending with live bagpipes.  We also include signing for those who are hard of hearing.
