Keeping conscience of your family’s budget is always important, but there’s no need to cut out the fun. So get your family together and check out these free things to do:

Hancock Park District

Hancock County is blessed with great parks. Whether it’s walking the Findlay Reservoir or having a picnic at Riverside Park, there are a lot of opportunities to have fun in the parks that make up the Hancock Park District. Although there is a small cost to take part in some activities, almost everything else is free. And with the warm, pleasant weather and the gorgeous blooms of spring, now is the time to check out our beautiful parks.

Mazza Museum

Let’s admit it: Spring can have some unpredictable weather. For those rainy days, you need a fun indoor activity. Did you know that the Mazza Museum is free? You can sit with your kids and spend the afternoon getting lost in the books featured on the walls of the museum. They can also discover all of the work that goes into the illustrations that all over their favorite books, as they look at all of the examples that fill the walls of this museum. It’s the perfect free activity when the weather isn’t cooperating.

ArtWalk

Many of our local festivals are also free. And one that is always great to attend is the ArtWalk on May 5. You can explore local galleries, including Awakening Minds Art, Findlay Art League Gallery, Jones Building Arts Studios and Kan Du Studio. In addition, you can find local musicians performing at many local businesses. And it’s all free to participate.

These are just a few free things to do in Findlay in the spring. Keep an eye on our events calendar for even more ideas.
