Wolfie’s Nutcracker Sweet Holiday Mix is a great gift for the foodie in your life!

For the Foodie

Do you have someone on your shooing list that is constantly snapping photos of their food and overusing #NomNomNom?  Then make sure to pick up some of these items!  Dietsch Brothers candy was just named the Best of Ohio by readers of Ohio Magazine, so starting with a box of chocolate covered pretzels (or just about anything else at the candy counter!) would be a gift anyone would be happy to receive.  Pair it with a couple bags of beer nuts, a classic mix, or wing nuts from Wolfie’s Roasted Nuts and you’re in business.  If you’re looking for an easy way to get the best of Findlay in one gift then call Doris at DorAnne’s Gifts and Gourmet, she will put together a “Taste of Findlay” gift basket or one of any theme you wish, including a Cooking Oils collection if your foodie likes to cook as much as eat!  No matter what you choose to gift, it will surely be the star of their next Instagram photo.

For the Sports Fan

For a die-hard sports fan there is nothing better than a gift featuring their favorite team!  At The CaveMan Store there are many unique items that are sports related, including plenty of Ohio State, Cleveland, and Cincinnati items.  DorAnne’s Gifts and Gourmet is featuring Ohio State artwork from a local artist and at RooBarb Studios you can purchase jewelry with University of Findlay or a high school name on it.  Of course, for a University of Findlay alumnus there is no better gift than UF gear so take advantage of the book shop on campus!

For the Art Lover

Whether the art lover in your life is an admirer or a do-er there are plenty of opportunities to find the perfect gift for them locally.  If you are looking for a hands on gift then consider purchasing art lessons from Awakening Minds Art, The Gaslight Gallery, or a workshop at Charming Finds Boutique!  For those who prefer to admire, you will want to shop at Rieck’s Gallery for a unique piece of art to add to their collection.  At Objects of Desire Artful Living you will definitely want to check out The Collector Gallery, which features not only work by local artists but also investment pieces by well known artists.

A growler of Findlay Brewing Company Beer is a perfect gift for the craft beer enthusiast

For the Craft Beer Enthusiast

Findlay has become a hub for craft beer enthusiasts and when you are shopping for the beer lover in your life make sure to check out these spots for the perfect gift.  Findlay Brewing Company is Hancock County’s only brewery and you can gift the liquid gold they brew this holiday season!  You can purchase and fill growlers on Fridays from 5 – 7 and Saturdays from 1 – 3.  You can also purchase and fill growlers at the Great Scot Community Market on Broad Ave., they frequently have Ohio beers as well as unique beers from around the country.  If someone on your shopping list wants to brew their own beer then head to Wolfie’s Nuts and talk to Bill Wolf, one of the founders of the Hancock County Home Brewers Association, he can help you purchase all you need for a home brewing kit!  If the people on your shopping lift lean more towards wine rather than beer then don’t worry, the many wine bars in Findlay have you covered!  Talk to the experts at The Wine Merchant or Gathering Wine and find the perfect wine to suit the recipient’s tastes, or purchase gift cards for them to enjoy wine by the glass at DiVine Wine Bar and Gillig Winery.

For Someone who has Everything

Unique items can be found in nearly every store in Findlay, but there are a few spots you will definitely need to check out.  Head to Jeffrey’s Antique Gallery and search for the perfect item for the hard-to-shop person, from Findlay Glass to political posters to antique toys, you can find an item for even the most obscure interest.  Feasel’s Garden Center isn’t just a place to buy your flowers, it is also home to a large gift shop.  Featuring home decor, items to make a fairy garden, Vera Bradley items, and many other unique lines that can only be found at Feasel’s you definitely need to make it a stop when shopping this holiday season!  Plenty of gifts will be given this holiday but there is no better gift than one that makes a difference!  Giving Tuesday is November 29th, consider making a donation in the name of those you normally buy gifts for.  From one of our many great museums, to The Arts Partnership, to many, many more there are plenty of great causes to support!
