Our Blog

Every Wednesday, you can make a stop at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts to get a taste of our local food trucks and to meet up with friends. Your choices may change every week, but you can be assured that your belly will be full and you’ll have a lot of fun.

Tacos

Who doesn’t love tacos for lunch? You’ll have two choices at the food truck court.

If you want street tacos, then you need to stop at Angie’s Street Taco. When we were there, your choices were barbacoa, chicken or picadillo, and two tacos came with a side of rice and beans. It’s a great size for lunch.

You can also stop at Amy May’s Rockin’ Taco. Her revolving menu includes items such as burritos, nachos and taco salads. You can also satisfy your sweet tooth with tasty desserts such as a Reese’s cake.

Burgers

Sometimes all you need for lunch is a juicy burger. You can find that at King’s Concessions. From just a plain burger to a black & bleu burger, you will have several options.

And you can also choose from this food truck’s other menu items that include hot dogs and fried bologna. Be sure to finish it all up with a piece of their cheesecake.

Subs

Lunch is the best time to indulge with a tasty sub. For that, you need to stop at ABC Concessions. You can get everything from a hot pizza sub to a cold turkey sub. And if you’re looking for a little less bread, you can choose from a selection of wraps as well.

You can add one of their loaded baked potatoes or Ballreich potato chips to your sub, and then try one of their cheesecakes in a cup.

Something Different

Want to try something a little different from your standard food? Then check out Dixie Girl Truck. Her twist on comfort food will make you happy for the rest of the day.

At this food truck you’ll find anything from mac & cheese to pulled pork to po’ boys. And of course comfort food is not complete without some sweet tea.

Menus and trucks will change on a weekly basis. But you’ll always find fun and friends at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts every Wednesday from 11 am – 4 pm. You definitely have to check this out.
