 Blue StarApplication Highlights:

  • Designed to aid the successful growth of enhancing established events, with awards of up to 50% of the total event budget at a maximum of $5,000.
  • Application Deadline for all Tourism Growth Proposals: Monday, February 6, 2017
  • Application is for events taking place March 1, 2017 – February 28, 2018

Application Timeline:

First Year Applicant:

  • Submit Application – No later than Monday, February 6, 2017
  • Notice of Approval & 50% Payment – Within 30 days of Application deadline
  • Submit Reimbursement Request & Receipts – Within 60 days of the conclusion of the Event
  • Final 50% Reimbursement Processed – Within 30 days after receipt of the Reimbursement Request

Second Year Applicant:

  • Meet with CVB Director to review Event Summary – Six months prior to the Event (or earlier)
  • Submit Application – Check application deadlines for 2017
  • Notice of Approval & 50% Payment – Within 30 days of deadline
  • Submit Reimbursement Request & Receipts – Within 60 days of the conclusion of the Event
  • Final 50% Reimbursement Processed – Within 30 days after receipt of the Reimbursement Request

Application Checklist:

  • Tourism Growth Application – Complete all sections of the application, including narrative sections.  Attach extra sheets, if necessary.
  • Budget Worksheet – Complete all sections of the Budget Worksheet with explanations. Up to 50% of the total Event enhancements budget may be matched by CVB Tourism Growth funds, at a maximum of $5,000. (Example: Total events enhancements budget $10,000 could be matched with $5,000 of CVB funds).
  • Supporting Materials – If deemed appropriate by the applicant, include narrative of previous event history, attendance, hotel rooms occupied and financial recap (exhibitors, admissions, advertisement placement).  References and other relevant information may also be submitted.
