High school senior football players, 2014 graduates from Ohio and Michigan, will play in the inaugural Ohio – Michigan Border Classic this summer, Saturday, June 14, at Donnell Stadium in Findlay, Ohio. Kickoff is set for 1:00 pm. Game tickets can be purchased before June 1st online at the Fanz Sports Marketing Spirit Shop (www.fanzsportsmarketing.com) or tickets can be purchased at the stadium Will Call on game day. All tickets will be $5 at the gate. Findlay Youth Football players and under who wear a jersey or identifying t-shirt get in free.The Players and coaches who were selected to represent their State will be recognized at an awards banquet Friday night, June 13.
The Ohio High School Football Coaches Association (OHSFCA) and the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association (MHSFCA) will each select forty players and six coaches to compete in the game.
Mike Mauk (Treasurer, OHSFCA) and Larry Merx (Executive Director, MHSFCA) have announced that all profits from this game will be dedicated to the scholarship funds already established by their respective coaching associations.
While everyone recognizes the tremendous natural rivalry involved in an Ohio verses Michigan football game, the main goals of the game are to promote high school football and to build a strong positive relationship between Ohio and Michigan high school football players and coaches.
