Every season brings new flavors, and at Findlay restaurants that oftentimes means new seasonal or monthly specials! Visit Findlay blogger Regina Fox explores these menus and brings you her recommendations to make each meal a memorable (and flavorful!) one!
Exciting seasonal specials are brewing on Crawford Street this winter. Findlay Brewing Company has three specialty menu items on tap this month only.
The Spicy BBQ Burger brings the heat on these cold winter nights. Sandwiched between a brioche bun, this burger is anchored by an 8 oz. beef patty and adorn with pepper jack cheese, onion ring, bacon, pickled jalapeno, and BBQ sauce.
A comfort food favorite, FBC Chili is made with ground beef, red beans, and kidney beans. It is topped with cornbread croutons, cheddar cheese, and green onion.
Green and red are the colors of the season and you’ll find plenty of both in the Holiday Salad at Findlay brewing. This dish features mixed greens with shaved Brussel sprouts, apple, dried cranberry, blue cheese crumbles, and whole grain mustard vinaigrette.
No meal at FBC would be complete without a Flag City-brewed beer. More than a handful of seasonal pints are decking the “On Tap” wall, all brewed right here in Flag City, including Chilcote’s, chocolate habanero milk stout, Gingerbread Amber Ale, a holiday cranberry pale ale, Sugar Plum Fairy, shimmering pale ale, Kiss My Apple, wheat ale was brewed with honey and apple purée, and Island Night, their new tropical stout, chocolate habanero milk stout.
For more spirited diners, there are an array of handcrafted cocktails made specially for this season, like the Holiday Cranberry Mule, Amaretto Eggnog, and Hot Apple Cider Bourbon.
The revolving menu at Logan’s Irish Pub has landed on some tasty delicacies this winter. The December Cork Board features six stick-to-your-bones plates sure to satisfy a wide range of palates.

The taste of Ireland is featured in the Sirloin au Poivre. The Guinness-infused lentil-barley pilaf, roasted carrots, and cracked pepper cream sauce are the perfect compliments to the tender pepper-crusted sirloin steak.
To sweeten the pot [of gold] this winter, Logan’s will be offering a Cranberry Orange Panna Cotta. The citrus-infused vanilla custard is served with marinated cranberry-orange compote and a generous drizzle of spiced red wine-honey syrup.
A local, handcrafted meal is best enjoyed amid the intimate ambiance of The Gathering. There’s something about the solace of the brick-lined, open-beamed interior that makes the upscale American dishes taste even better, especially on cold winter nights.
The Winter Bucatini combines the freshness of wild mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, gremolata, and wilted spinach with the savoriness of pancetta lardon, lamb bolognese, parmesan, and crostini.
Transport your taste buds seaside with The Gathering’s Paella. Shrimp, chicken thigh, and Spanish chorizo rendezvous amongst saffron bomba rice, sweet pea, bell pepper, onion, Gathering herbs, Spanish sofrito, and lemon.
