A New Leash On Life: The K9s For Warriors Story

November 11 @ 6:55 pm - 9:00 pm

The University of Findlay student organization will be opening their doors to the community to put on a special screening of the film documentary “A New Leash On Life: The K9s For Warriors Story.” The film has won 4 Emmy awards, 3 Telly awards and has been featured on PBS, several media stations nationwide, worldwide as well as on Amazon prime. The film features local Paramedic, Louie Belluomini and his service dog Star with Hanco EMS in Findlay and Putnam County EMS in Ottawa, Ohio. You will have the opportunity to meet local K9 team Louie and Star and the other two K9 teams featured in the film, Shilo and K9 Javie and Adam and K9 Molly.  Please join us for a fun and exciting time at the University and consider making a donation in our name to the K9s For Warriors program.

Since first featuring the film last November, we have reached our goal of $15,000 for sponsoring our FIRST service dog who we decided will be named “Findlay,” due to all the support we have received from the University and local community. We are now increasing our goal to $30,000 to sponsor a SECOND service dog which we plan on naming “Hancock. Thank you, together we can make a difference!

We hope you enjoy the film and we are honored to have you join in this experience with us.
