A Year in the Life of a Pioneer Child Camp

It is 1847. This camp will break down by season the chores that pioneer children did, what school was like, the food they ate, and the clothes they wore. Pancakes will be made on the cookstove and eaten with maple syrup. There will be work to do in the garden, such as pulling weeds and harvesting sweet peas and beans. Snacks will be provided, but please bring a sack lunch and a reusable water bottle. Insect repellent and sunscreen are optional.
Meet at the McKinnis House. This camp is for children ages 6-8. This is a two-day camp takes place July 6 & 7, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Click here to register with $32 per child by 9 AM on Tuesday, July 5. To receive a free t-shirt, campers must be registered by 9 AM on Wednesday, June 29.
