A welcoming space for teens with special needs to connect, create, and feel supported.
This program is designed especially for teens with sensory needs in mind. Teens can enjoy hands on activities in a calm and understanding environment. Each session offers options for different comfort levels, from quiet crafts to group games.
We welcome Teens grades 6-12 who benefit from extra support in social or sensory settings. All are welcome.
What to Expect: Creative projects with step by step instructions. Space for socializing, and we offer a quiet soothing space to let your creativity flow. We offer items for comfort, like weighted lap pads, fidget items, sensory craft items, and low lighting. Staff members who understand and support diverse needs, are leading this program. Caregivers may stay or drop off based on what works best. Want to learn more or talk with someone before attending? Contact Carah Alvarez at calvarez@findlaylibrary.org or 419-434-1486. We are happy to answer questions and provide support before your first visit.
