Amphibian Night Exploration Hike
April 11 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm
FreeEvent Navigation
Join Program Specialist Chris Allen as she explores Blue Rock Nature Preserve in search of amphibians that are on the move. The park is known for its variety of salamanders, which would have laid eggs in the vernal pool in March. They might be seen on land now. In addition to salamanders, our senses my alert us to the spring peeper frog, bullfrog, northern leopard frog, or even the American toad. You may wish to bring your red-light flash light to help spot animals in the night.
Meet at Edgar Avenue Parking Lot. This free event requires participants to be ages 18 and up. Registration is not required.
