One of a few ways to help wildlife in your backyard is to provide them with a nesting box to live in. With spring quickly approaching, now is the best time to build and set up a nesting box. Join Hancock Park District to learn about different types of nesting boxes, see how they are made, learn about the animals that use them, and receive tips about placing and maintaining your nest box.

Hancock Park District will provide patterns to build houses for many different types of animals, such as bluebirds, owls, squirrels, bats, and even native bees. After you pick up your plans, take your time and explore the other displays in the building.
