Join Hancock Park District in a celebration of Northwest Ohio history, featuring costumed interpreters in the 1847 McKinnis House and Workshop. Horse-drawn hayrides will take place around the prairie area. Live music provided by The Mule Skinners will be in the Activity Barn along with popcorn, apple cider, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Stop by the kettle on the corner to taste the soup that’s been made over the fire, and then head over to the Wagon Shed to view live farm animals, including donkeys, sheep, turkeys, and chicken. Take a self-guided tour of the heirloom orchard. Children will enjoy the pioneer toys in the homestead yard. A vendor area along the walkway will have a variety of wares including honey, knitted and crocheted items, vanilla extract, jams, jellies, and baked goods.
