Butterfly Bistro

June 10 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

There are many kinds of butterflies in the world, but you might be surprised by what they eat. For example, the question mark butterfly likes an occasional overripe banana. The red-spotted purple butterfly and the northern pearly-eye butterfly can be found sharing scat. And the monarch butterfly prefers nectar from milkweed, coneflowers, and joe-pye-weed. Hancock Park District will have the type of plants needed to create a butterfly garden will be on display.

Meet at the Discovery Center.  This free program is open to those 18 and older, registration is not required.
