Celebrating 50 Years of Flag City

FreeThis summer Findlay is celebrating 50 years of being named Flag City USA! Join your friends at the museum for a family fun day celebrating this milestone on Sunday, June 9th from 1-4pm. The free, family-friendly event will feature:
– Patriotic games and crafts.
– Special exhibit highlighting 50 Years of Flag City USA.
– Learn about proper flag etiquette and disposal – presented by Dan Haas at 2:15pm in the museum’s Community Room.
– Visit with Tom Davis, portraying American Founding Father, John Hancock
– Have an American Flag no longer in use that needs to be retired? We will be collecting old and damaged flags for an official retirement ceremony (on a later date, off-site).
– Mobile children’s book illustration exhibit on display, presented by the Mazza Museum.
– FREE red, white and blue snow cones from Kona Ice!
The museum’s campus will be open and free to tour. No registration necessary.
This event is free to the public as part of The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation’s Fun for All series of free community events.
