Christmas in the Village

Christmas in the Village is a family based holiday time complete with Santa’s arrival in the parade at 3 p.m. A Holiday Home Tour, train rides, horse drawn wagon rides, Santa’s House, musical performances, vendors (both craft and food), and more. A small rural community decked out for the festival.
New to the event in 2018 are ice sculptures, a live camel, donkey and cow at the live nativity and horse drawn wagon rides. The event begins with a parade featuring the Riverdale marching band. Activities downtown include: Romick’s train rides, visits with Mr. Claus at Santa’s House, kid’s crafts, Heart and Soul Bingo, cake walks, food and craft vendors, live nativity, ice sculptures, and carolers.
Food vendors will be Boy Scout Troop 314 Chili tent, Kimmel’s BBQ, Riverdale Lion’s Club food table and Riverdale FFA bake sale.
Music performances and a Silent Auction will be held at the United Methodist Church. The silent auction will be held in the fellowship has and there will be 100 items for bid featuring tickets to an Ohio State basketball game, kid’s toys, household items, Christmas decorations and much more. The following music schedule for Christmas in the Village:
4-4:30 pm Paragon, Men’s Barbershop Quartet
4:30-5 pm Children’s Colored Bells – Hands on activity for young folks to ring the bells to Christmas carols
5-5:30 pm Riverdale High School A Cappella Ensemble
5:30-6 pm Tina Kelly, solo flute
6-6:30 pm Mt. Blanchard Nazarene Church Musicians
6:30-7 pm Sing-along with the Mt. Blanchard United Methodist and Nazarene Church’s Musicians. Vocal solos by Alli Rader and Leah Tracy
7-7:30 pm Living Water Men’s Bluegrass Gospel Band
