A simple brown paper bag is an excellent tool for cooking a wide variety of food around a campfire. Hancock Park District will discuss the basics and safety of outdoor cooking. The first two courses will be made in our paper bags and cooked over the fire. First, participants will make eggs and bacon, and then pop some popcorn. Finish off with dessert by making some doughnuts and using the bags to add sugar and or cinnamon.

Meet at the McKinnis House at Litzenberg Memorial Woods by 7pm. This event is for ages 11 through 14. You must register online with it being $5 per child by 1pm on Tuesday, August 2nd by visiting the link found here. The maximum capacity for this event is 12 so it is recommended to register earlier in advance.
