Corn Husk Dolls

A corn husk doll is a doll made out of the dried leaves or “husk” of a corn cob. Children can step back in time with their friends at Hancock Park District to make their own doll. Afterwards, use fabric scraps from the McKinnis House to dress your doll just as the pioneers would have done.
Meet at the shelter at the Litzenberg Memorial Woods. There are two sessions available, the first from 10am – 11am and the second from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. This event is recommended for kids ages 5-10. Registration online with $5 per child by 1pm on Wednesday, July 13th by going to the link here. Event capacity for each time slot is 12 people so it is recommended that you register earlier in advance.
