Decomposer Hike

September 27 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

Decomposers are an important part of most ecosystems. The role of decomposers is to break down dead organisms and return the nutrients back to the soil. Without these important organisms, every tree that died would be stuck on the ground forever! These animals, and fungi, are very important and interesting to observe. Join Hancock Park District and you might see earthworms, slugs, and mushroom to name a few decomposers that might be found on the hike.

Meet at the Parking lot.  All ages are welcome to this free event, registration is not required.
