Discovery Stories: Tardigrades and Friends

Join Hancock Park District to learn about the hidden world of micro animals, which are animals that are so small that they need to be viewed through a microscope to be seen. You will learn about the tardigrade, also known as a water bear, and his friends, like mites, daphnia, rotifers, and plankton that live in these microscopic kingdoms. A fun story about a tardigrade will be read, you can view some micro animals under the microscope, and make a tardigrade ornament.
This event takes place at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Meet at the Discovery Center. This free event is open to ages 3-5 with an adult; other aged siblings are welcome to attend.
Registration is not required.
