Discovery Story: Natures Dining Hall
July 11, 2022 @ 10:00 am
FreeEvent Navigation
Join Hancock Park District for a story about where insects and animals find their food in nature. Birds eat worms, wasps like to eat beetles, and raccoons like eggs. The opossum is called nature’s janitor because he will clean up whatever he finds that you have left behind. The kids will make a craft that is a googly-eyed nature friend that they won’t have to feed later.
Meet at the Discovery Center at the Oakwoods Nature Preserve. There are two sessions, the first at 10 Am and the second at 1 PM. This event is recommended for children ages 3 and up with an adult; other aged siblings are welcome to attend as well. This event is free and registration is not required to attend.
