Discovery Story: Virginia Opossum

Join Hancock Park District to learn more about North America’s only marsupial and find out what one of their favorite snacks is. Through a story, activities, like What’s in the Marsupial Pouch, and by making an opossum puppet, children will hopefully appreciate this nocturnal mammal.
Meet at the Discovery Center at the Oakwoods Nature Preserve by 10am. This event is recommended for kids ages 3-5 with an adult present. Other aged siblings are welcome to attend too. The event is free and registration is not required.
