Fall Astronomy
October 9 @ 9:00 pm - 11:00 pm
FreeEvent Navigation
Join Hancock Park District to view and learn about the wonders of the night sky on this autumn night. Through a telescope we will view the planets Jupiter and Saturn, and other objects in the sky. Then we will point out constellations and talk about the stories that go along with them. At the end of our viewing, you will receive a star map for the month to help you explore the night sky at home. If the sky is not clear enough for viewing, we will go on a short night hike instead.
Meet at Shelter 7. This free event is open to families with children ages 8 and up. Registration is not required.
