It’s National Moth Week! Come on a hike with Hancock Park District in search for these graceful insects of the night. You will learn about moths, talk about the differences between their close cousins – the butterflies, and hike the woods in search of moths. Look for moths on baited trees and then finish up your hike at a light trap. After the hike, participants will receive moth coloring pages to take home.

Meet at the Big Oaks Activity Area near the Mariann Dana Younger Memorial Pavilion by 9pm. This event is recommended for families with children ages 5 and up. This event is free but you must register online at www.HancockParks.com by 4 PM on Friday, July 29.
