July is an excellent time to find fireflies. Come join your friends at Hancock Park District at the Discovery Center and learn how fireflies’ glow, why they create flashes of light, and other cool facts about these glowing beetles. We will capture fireflies and wait for the moonrise. After releasing the fireflies, we will take a night hike on moonlit trails to look for animals.

Meet at the Discovery Center.  This free program is open to families with children 6 and up.  Registration is not required.
