Flag City National Night Out 2019
August 6 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pmFree
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live. The National Night Out program culminates annually on the first Tuesday of August. Neighbors across thousands of communities from all 50 states, United States territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide participate in the event.
The best way to prevent crime is by bringing everyone together to solve common problems in the community. This event aims to do that by allowing everyone a chance to interact and forge relationships. This is the basic tenant of National Night Out, as well as Findlay’s Neighborhood Watch or “Block Watch” program.
Findlay’s National Night Out event will be held on Tuesday, August 6th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Riverside Park near the volley ball courts. There will be live entertainment and demonstrations, as well as free food and refreshments. There will also be several local mascots there to meet and greet children, as well as participate in the 4th Annual Mascot Games.
This is a family friendly event and everyone is welcome.
For those that can’t make it, we encourage them to display a blue light at their residence. This is a symbolic gesture to show that they stand with local law enforcement against crime, as well as safety services.
