Globe at Night: Hercules
July 28, 2022 @ 10:00 pm - 11:00 pm
FreeEvent Navigation
Globe at Night is an international citizen-science campaign to raise public awareness of the impact of light pollution. This will be done by measuring the sky brightness of this month’s constellation, Hercules. Join Hancock Park District to learn the size and location of Hercules and also some mythology about it. Then turn to the night sky to find it and record your observations.
Meet at the Southside parking lot at Litzenberg Memorial Woods by 10pm. This event is recommended for ages 16 and up. The event is free but you must register online at www.HancockParks.com by 4 PM on Thursday, July 28. The event capacity maximum is 20 people so it is recommended that you register earlier in advance.
