Learn to be a McKinnis House Volunteer
March 5 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
FreeEvent Navigation
Have you ever thought about becoming a McKinnis House volunteer? The McKinnis House is located on the grounds of Litzenberg Memorial Woods and was home to Charles and Mary McKinnis, early settlers of Hancock County. Costumed volunteers, who portray the family and neighbors in the year 1847, are a vital component to the McKinnis House’s success. Volunteers get the opportunity to dress in period appropriate clothing during open houses and school and public programs. Join us for an information session to learn about what you need to do and how you can be a part of this wonderful opportunity.
Meet at McKinnis House. This event is recommended for teens and adults and is free; but click here to register by 1 PM on Friday, March 4.
