Bring your preschoolers out and join Hancock Park District as we use sweep nets to try to catch ladybugs and other insects. Hands-on stations will include the opportunity to observe insects with a magnifying glass and make a paper plate ladybug. Afterwards, go on an Insect Scavenger Hunt on the trails at Riverbend to see what other insect activity you can find. Adult companions must remain with children for this program.

Meet at Shelter 7 at the Meadows Activity Area at Riverbend Recreation Area by 10 am. This event is for children ages 3 – 6 with an adult; other aged siblings are welcome to attend. The event is free and registration is not required to attend.
