The Jones Mansion’s next M is for Murder event is here and they will delve into the Heartland-farming community. Home invasions/Breaking and Entry/Armed Robbery are equally frightening and perhaps deadly. Looking at Hancock County in the 1880’s-1900’s we find many rural homes ransacked and broken into around midnight. Often by a few crooks, but as many as 12 marauders were possibilities !

Stories of buried Indian gold and silver, cans of cash buried in cellars or stuffed inside mattresses are also the subjects of our next Murder! Gas and Oil profits, failing banks and family greed will add fuel to our murder. Follow along with our popular series “M is for Murder-part 5” and compare today’s headlines with yesterdays.
