Have you ever wondered when the next full moon will be or what is the best time to view the moon? If so, you can join Hancock Park District and create your own moon phase calendar and calculator that will help you track the phases of the moon throughout the year. During this program, you will also learn about our moon and why it has phases, and go inside our portable planetarium to watch how the moon moves, get a close look at the moon, and view other objects that can be seen in the night sky. Each participant will take home a moon phase calendar and calculator, a moon observation journal, and an evening sky map for January.
