Maple Sugarin’ Day and Pancake Breakfast
March 12 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
FreeEvent Navigation
Join the Hancock Park District for Maple Sugarin’ Day in March, which is the traditional time for tapping maple trees. See how maple syrup is made, walk the trails, and don’t miss the scenic sap science stop. There is a story behind the making of maple syrup that can be remembered by making a beaded maple leaf key chain. Enjoy a hot drink in the Activity Barn, where maple sweets sold by Fruth’s Sugarhouse will be on display. The McKinnis family home will be open for visitation, so be sure to stop in and say hello.
All ages are welcome to this free event; registration is not required.
