National Moth Week celebrates the beauty, life cycles, and habitats of moths. Join Hancock Park District and take a moth hike to learn what moths are and why they are important, and look for moths and other nocturnal insects that were attracted to sugar baits on trees. After the hike, check a light trap to see what was attracted to our black lights. Throughout the night you will learn about the moths we see and help us document them as we photograph them for the National Moth Week citizen science project.

Meet at the Shelter.  This free event is open to ages 18 and up, registration is not required.
