It is National Trade a Rock Day, and you are invited to bring a rock to the park and trade during Hancock Park District’s program. Your rock must come with a date of when it was collected, and the place you collected it from. Every rock tells a story and that is the fun part of Trade a Rock Day. Program Specialist Chris Allen will have coal that came from 600 feet underground to trade and stories to tell about other rocks that were collected during her travels this year. A collection of rocks traded in the past will be on display.

Meet at the Discovery Center Porch.  All ages are welcome to this free event, registration is not required.
