Naturalist Camp: Wild About Nature

Being wild about nature means exploring wetlands, prairies, forests, and rivers to learn about the natural world. Three parks will be explored on different days throughout the camp. Before every hike, campers will learn about the plants and animals that live in each habitat. A kayak trip on the Blanchard River will be on Wednesday. Snacks will be provided, but please bring a sack lunch and a reusable water bottle. Insect repellent and sunscreen are optional.
This is a three-day camp open to ages 9-12 that meets at a different location each day.
Monday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Riverbend Recreation Area, Oxbow Activity Area – Shelter 5
Tuesday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Oakwoods Nature Preserve – Discovery Center
Wednesday, 9 a.m. – Noon – Riverside Park, Zonta Landing
