Nature Exploration Overnight Camp-Out

June 28

Nature exploration will lead to the world of fossils and seashells, beginning with a fossil and seashell display inside the Richard S. “Doc” Phillips Discovery Center. Digging in the Playscape for fossils and then identifying fossils will be involved. After lunch, campers will hike to Dold Lake to search for seashells on the beach. They will learn how to identify them and make a collection container, followed by a nature night hike and cooking campfire stew, hot dogs, and s’mores on an open fire. Please bring a reusable water bottle and sack lunch for the first day. All other snacks and meals, a full list of supplies needed for the overnight camp, and tents will be provided.

This is an overnight camp for those ages 10-13.

Click here to register with $68 per child by 9 AM on Monday, June 27. To receive a free t-shirt, campers must be registered by 9 AM on Tuesday, June 21.
