February 27 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
FreeEvent Navigation
Humans have been observing the sky for as long as history has been written. Since Babylonia in 1600 BC, humans have observed the night sky, studied it, and written down information. Learn about how ancient civilizations viewed the night sky, including Mesopotamians, Ancient Egyptians, Ancients Greeks, and the Romans.
In the planetarium, you will look at planets, constellations that ancient civilizations saw, and talk about how the night sky has changed. Participants are required to sit on the floor, ask about accommodations.
Meet at the Discovery Center. This free program is open to those 9 and up, registration is required by 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 27.
