Planetarium: New Moon
October 24, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
FreeEvent Navigation
Where did the moon go? It’s not gone, it’s a New Moon. Join Hancock Park District to find out what causes the moon to disappear in the sky and why this is the perfect time to see the other objects that are in our universe. You’ll get a chance to see the constellations Orion (the hunter), Canis Major (the big dog), and Cassiopeia (the queen) all while in the comfort of our indoor planetarium. Participants are required to sit on the floor. Ask about accommodations.
Meet at the Discovery Center. All ages are welcome to this free event, but register by 1 p.m. on Monday, October 24.
