Teen Fishing

July 9 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Free

Learn how to be a better fisherman and practice your skills. First, we will talk about fishing gear and practice our casting. Join Hancock Park District and learn about the different types of sportfish in Northwest Ohio like what they look like, what habitats they live in, and methods to help catch these fish. We will then try our hand at catching fish that live in Giertz Lake like bluegill, largemouth bass, and channel catfish. All skill levels are welcome. Fishing poles and bait will be provided or bring your own gear. Participants that are 16 years or older will need a valid Ohio fishing license.

Meet at the Lakefront Activity Center.  This free program is open to teens ages 13-17.  Register online by 1 p.m. on Monday, July 8.
