There’s a Dead Animal on Their Head!
September 15 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
FreeEvent Navigation
Hats are fun to wear. They come in all shapes and colors and can show off our personalities and creativity. Although not so long ago, it used to be common to wear hats made of dead animals, like furs and feathers. Join Hancock Park District and learn about the animals that people use to kill for hats, why people wore them, and listen to a story about how a young lady saved birds from becoming hats. Since it is also National Make a Hat Day, we will create our own paper hats.
Meet at the Discovery Center. This free program is open to children ages 6-10 with an adult. Registration is not required.
