Tin Lanterns
August 17, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
$5.00Event Navigation
Pioneers didn’t have flashlights, instead, they used a simple light called a punched tin lantern. Join Hancock Park District as we step back in time to make our own tin lantern. Using a tin can, a hammer, and a nail, you’ll be able to come away with your own one-of-kind tin lantern to take home.
Meet at the Shelter at Litzenberg Memorial Woods either at 10am for the first session or 6:30pm for the second session. This event is recommended for children ages 9 – 11. You must register online with it being $5 per person by 1pm on Tuesday, August 16th by visiting the link found here. The maximum capacity for each session is 12 people.
