Love to fish? Never been fishing but want to know how? Join your friends from the library at Oakwoods Nature Preserve to learn about local fish, make a fishing game, and if the weather permits, go fishing at the pier.

This activity is inspired by the library’s 2023 YouthREAD book, “Caterpillar Summer” by Gillian McDunn. Meet at the Discovery Center and go fishing at Shank Lake (if weather permits). This program is presented with the Hancock Parks District. Please register all children that wish to participate at findlaylibrary.org through the Calendar tab. Children 8 and under should be accompanied by an adult.
