University of Findlay Homecoming Weekend

September 27 - September 29

Celebrate Oiler Pride by attending the 2019 Homecoming and Family Weekend- this year’s theme celebrates being Forever Oilers!  No matter the distance or the years, we’d love to see you here for Homecoming & Family Weekend! From a Findlay Faithfuls vow renewal at the Arch and the 50th Anniversary of the Black Student Union, to a new pre-game all-alumni tailgate, Oiler football, and everything in between, it will be a weekend to remember.  See all event information, including about class reunions, here.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first lunar landing, University of Findlay’s Mazza Museum has created a special exhibit featuring 12 original artworks which depict the historic events as well as stories featuring the moon itself., Mazza Museum, Catherine Freed Galleria
 
Eurydice is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., a Concord Theatricals Company., General public – $6, Purchase tickets via the Marathon Center for Performing Arts or by calling 419-423-2787.  UF faculty, staff, and students – Free with valid UF ID, John and Hester Powell Grimm Theatre, Frank J. Friday, Sept. 27

6:30 – 8:30 p.m.: Oiler Bash

Something for everyone to enjoy – a campus version of the TV game show, The Newlywed Game, feature our Findlay Faithfuls (alumni married couples), face painting, pony rides, train rides, inflatables, photo booth, games, and food! Fireworks will follow, so stick around!, Koehler Fitness & Recreation Complex
 

7:30 – 9 p.m.: Buford Center for Diversity & Service Open House

All alumni, parents, friends, and current students are invited to come celebrate the Black Student Union’s 50-year anniversary! Current Black Student Union members and Buford Center for Diversity and Service staff will give a tour of the Buford Center and discuss its’ history and significance.  Historical BSU pictures and documents will be available for viewing. Refreshments will be provided., Buford Center for Diversity & Service
 

9 p.m. countdown: Fireworks

Continue the Homecoming celebration with the 12th annual Homecoming fireworks display, Davis Street parking lot

Saturday, Sept. 28

9 a.m.: 5K Race – Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

This year we invite all alumni, parents, students, and friends to participate in the Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio Race for the Cure in downtown Findlay.
 
The Parents Executive Council invites current students and their family members to an Oiler Family Brunch. Featured speakers will be President Katherine Fell, Ph.D., a member of the Parents Executive Council, and the president of the senior class., $10 per person, $5 ages 6 – 12, free for UF students on meal plan and ages 5 and under, Alumni Memorial Union, Multi-Purpose Room
 
12:30 p.m.: 11th Annual Marching Band & Oiler Brass Reunion
Relive your band days by rehearsing with Oiler Brass and performing with the band at halftime and in the stands! You will be given a MOB t-shirt. Please wear jeans and tennis shoes. All band instruments are welcome. Bring your own instrument of contact Kelley Hutton at huttonk@findlay.edu to reserve one., Donnell Stadium
 
1 – 2:30 p.m.: All Alumni Tailgate
Reunite with fellow Oilers and enjoy a casual, family-friendly tailgate that will include some of Findlay’s favorite foods., Donnell Stadium
 
3 p.m.: Football Game
Come out and cheer on your Oilers as they take on the Alderson Broaddus University Battlers!, Donnell Stadium, Tickets: $5 purchased at the gate
