John Chapman, or Johnny Appleseed, was a real person who journeyed across the land starting apple orchards, including one in Hancock County. Join Hancock Park District and listen to a story about Johnny Appleseed and a story about the fruit he brought with him, the apple. Get a close look at real apples and their different colors. Then have fun doing some apple themed activities, like playing with apple boats in a kiddy pool and using apples to stamp a work of art.

Meet at the Discovery Center.  This free program is open to children ages 3 and under with an adult; other aged siblings are welcome to attend.  Registration is not required.
