Winter Blues Festival

Don’t let the cold keep you from enjoying live music, brews, delicious jambalaya and more at Alexandria’s annual Winter Blues Fest starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12 and Saturday, Feb. 13.
Local musicians of The Millstream Mojo Blues Band will warm-up the crowd both nights. The Millstream Mojo Blues Band is a group of seasoned Findlay, Ohio players laying it down with grit, spit and a heaping helping of soul. Kentucky native; Greg Neat on vocals, congas and harmonica. Maestro Gerald Natal; guitar and vocals. Reg Routson, drums aplenty. Handsome Zach Barger, bass guitar and vocals. Local Legend, Dave Dudley, gracing the keyboards with a Hammond tinted hue.
On Friday evening, enjoy a unique mix of blues, jazz, reggae and more by The Josh Garrett Band. Hailing from Louisiana, singer, songwriter, and guitar player Josh Garrett is known as a young triple threat blues man, with a winning combination of unique Cajun flavor guitar work, soulful vocals, and a killer band.
Celebrating his new release “Some Call It Freedom (Some Call It the Blues)” Ohio native, Country Bluesman, Americana Artist and Roots Rocker RB Stone and his band will be sure to please the audience on Saturday. With 16 albums under his belt, RB Stone has traveled the world performing in 32 countries on five continents. His music is said to be a spark of inspiration revealing a gut-level dose of blues generously from the soul.
A portion of the proceeds from Winter Blues Fest will benefit the Mazza Museum at The University of Findlay. The Mazza Museum holds the most diverse collection of original artwork by children’s book illustrators in the world. Its goal is to promote literacy and enrich the lives of all people through the art of children’s literature. Donations will be accepted to benefit the museum during Winter Blues Fest as well.
General admission tickets will be available at the door for $10 each night. Tables of 10 can be reserved prior to the event for $150 or reserve a table both nights for $225.
