Hancock County is home to many great hidden treasures. Over the next few months we will be highlighting a few of these little-known gems! This month we are featuring horseback riding (and other summer fun!) at The Triple T Ranch!
The Triple T Ranch
6717 Township Road 215

What better way to take in the summer season than on horseback? At Triple T Ranch you can do just that! Triple T is a Western Ranch located east of Findlay and offers over 15 acres of trails for you and your family and friends to enjoy. Owned by Matt and Sande Theis, the couple not only owns, but also operates all aspects of Triple T. The ranch specializes in horseback riding for beginners and first time riders, although experienced riders will enjoy the trails as well! Featuring full size horses as well as mini’s this small ranch is perfect for small families looking for a fun way to spend a couple hours this summer and fall. You can opt for a 45 minute trail ride or take a lesson, ranging from 30-60 minutes. Whether you want to enjoy the trails or not, Triple T is still a special place to bring your family. In addition to trail rides you can enjoy the mini-horses as they graze and run throughout the grounds (including baby miniature horse, Kiki, who was born in April!), go swimming, relax by the campfire and cook s’mores, and so much more. Triple T also hosts a small event space and is a great spot for a child’s birthday party, anniversary, or family reunion.
Even more than the horseback riding and family gathering spot, Triple T is also a fully functioning Bed and Breakfast. You will be able to enjoy delicious food like the Triple T Apple Fritter French toast, fruit parfait with homemade granola topped off with whip cream and homemade apple butter and fruit jams. A special treat is RazzleBerre jam made of strawberries, raspberries and blackberries and named after one of their miniature horse, RazzleBerre – both are out of the ordinary and just a little wild! Whether you decide to spend the morning on the trails, enjoy Triple T all day, or overnight you will be sure to enjoy this unique and hidden gem in the heart of Hancock County!
