Legends Veggie BurgerLast month, Legends Steak House & Sports Bar made its debut on Main Street in Downtown Findlay, and it became immediately clear that this was going to be the new go-to place in Findlay.

With its beautiful space, perfect patio for people watching and partnership with the Hancock County Sports Hall of Fame, it was obviously going to be a great place to meet up with friends. But then add to it a menu full of down home food down well and it’s a place the whole family can enjoy.

I walked into Legends with high hopes on a Saturday and was immediately greeted with a smile by a hostess. She quickly took me to a table near the back where I could appreciate the goodies from the Hancock County Sports Hall of Fame as well as have a great view of several games on the many large televisions.

Just as I was about to look for the beers on draft, my waitress, Michelle, showed up with an updated list. My eyes looked over the good mix of craft and national beers and picked one of my Ohio favorites.

“Is that a tall or a short?” Michelle asked.

I sighed, “It’s gonna be a short today.”

“But we both know you want a tall,” she said with a laugh. We do know that, Michelle. We very much do.

She brought my beer back within minutes, which gave me just enough time to settle on dinner. Even though I had heard amazing things about the cajun prime rib sandwich, I wanted some guacamole, so I ordered the veggie burger with a side of sweet potato fries.

Legends Steak House & Sports BarAs I began to really take in the space and was deciding which game I wanted to watch, Michelle came back with a glass of water. “You know, for the drive home,” she said. This instantly endeared her to me. She not only had a fun personality, but she was able to anticipate that I was definitely going to need a glass of water too. This is the kind of service that I just love.

My food came out before I knew it. The veggie burger was the perfect size with a nice large dollop of the guacamole that I was craving. It was just as tasty as it looked. The sweet potato fries had a great seasoning on them, and I had the exact right amount on my plate. Just enough to make me happy, but not too many that I’d leave a ton behind. Overall, I was really happy with everything I ate.

I asked for my check and Michelle brought it quickly with a few more joyful exchanges. With this kind of service and the great food, I know I’ll be back many more times.

Legends is great for friends or family gatherings. The large space makes it great for groups. And don’t feel like you need to leave the kids behind! With a plentiful amount of high chairs and a menu full of kid-friendly items, they will be very happy with this family outing.
