There is always something going on in Findlay and Hancock County, and this is never as true as in the summertime! Summer in Findlay means all the events you anticipate all year are back – so be sure to not miss them. Boogie on the Block • June 3
Boogie on the Block kicks off Findlay’s Summer Events!
The unofficial kick-off to summer, Boogie is back and is at Marathon Center for the Performing Arts’ parking lot this year! Admission is just $5 for this family-friendly festival featuring live music from The Docksiders. Learn more here!
Findlay Pride • June 4
Celebrating its 20th year, Findlay Pride has grown leaps and bounds over the past few years. Now a multi-day event with the main celebration at Riverside Park on Saturday, June 5 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., followed by an after-party in Downtown Findlay! Learn more here!
Family Fun Day at NWORRP • June 11
Train lovers of all ages will love NWORRP, especially during Family Fun Day!
Northwest Ohio Railroad Preservation, Inc. is a great place to visit in the fall for the Pumpkin Train or Winter for North Pole Express, but did you know the trains are running every weekend in the summer? An especially fun time to plan your visit is during NWORRP’s annual Family Fun Day. You can, of course, ride the quarter-scale train (unlimited rides!) and visit the museum, but NWORRP will also have bounce houses, games, railroad equipment tours, and so much more – all for 1 admission price. Independence Day in Flag City USA • July 3 & 4
What better place to celebrate Independence Day than in Flag City, USA? Findlay knows how to do the Fourth of July with the “Lighting Up the Sky” firework show at the Hancock County Fairgrounds kicking off the festivities on July 3. The next day the Fourth of July parade will begin at 11 a.m. through Downtown Findlay, followed by an Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social on the porch of the Hancock Historical Museum.
Antique Machinery Show • August 4 – 7
NWOAMA’s Antique Machinery Show is a can’t miss for the tractor and machinery lovers in your life!
Northwest Ohio Antique Machinery Association’s annual show is one to look forward to all year long. With scheduled events that will impress, to unique and interesting antique tractors, steam engines, and more on display – there is a little something for everyone. Learn more here!
Car Tunes on Main • August 6
A favorite for car lovers of all ages, Car Tunes on Main will take place on August 6 in Downtown Findlay! Sign up to show off your vehicle, or just come Downtown for the cruise and enjoy a little shopping and some lunch while you check out the cars! Learn more here!
Flag City BalloonFest • August 12 – 14
Flag City Balloonfest is one of the can’t-miss events this summer!
Hot air balloons take the skies during the Flag City BalloonFest! This decades-long event will return August 12 – 14 with hot air balloon flights in the morning and evening, the nightly balloon illumination, fireworks, great food, kids activities, and so much more. Learn more here!
Hancock County Fair • August 31 – September 4
Attending the Hancock County Fair wraps up summer the best way possible.
