There aren’t many things that appeal to the youngest and oldest of us alike, but trains seem to be one of those things that just about everyone – ages 5 to 95 – can agree are pretty darn cool.

You and your family can experience a truly unique train event this Saturday and Sunday at the Northwest Ohio Railroad Preservation. “Tracks to the Past” encompasses all the best about trains.

The kids will love the train rides, a play area with a big sand pile, and buggy rides pulled by adorable miniature horses from Dragongate Farm. The adults will have almost as much fun viewing the exhibits of gas engines and tractors, taking tours of a 1920s era B&O caboose, seeing model and toy train displays and antique cars and military vehicles, and watching historic reenactments and demonstrations.

Everyone will love the food and entertainment! Volunteers will be serving a variety of good food, desserts, and drinks, and The Lugibihls will be serving bowls of their delicious homemade ice cream and classic root beer float. ABS Karaoke will put on a show of karaoke music and fun on Saturday from 7:00pm-10:00pm, and Elmwood FFA members will hold a Kiddie Tractor Pull Sunday at 1:00pm.

Time & Cost: The show runs 9am-dark on Saturday; 10am-5pm on Sunday. Daily admission to the show is $2 for adults and $1 for children 12 and younger. Train rides are an additional $1 for all ages. A donation to benefit our museum is requested for miniature horse and buggy rides, and a donation to the Elmwood FFA is requested for participation in the Kiddie Tractor Pull.
