If you’re looking for a place where teens can go and work out, or simply hang out with some friends, you might want to think about the Findlay Family YMCA.  The is a place where there is something for everyone  – they offer a pool, basketball court, game room, gym equipment, and much more!

Hancock County Parks
Disc Golf, Boat & Ski Rentals, Fishing, Hiking Trails

Our local parks are full of fun for the whole family, but especially for teens. Check out our four disc golf courses for outdoor recreation with friends: Riverbend Disc Golf Trail, Firestine Park, Van Buren State Park and McComb. Or, rent a kayak, canoe or paddle boat and take advantage of the beauty and accessibility of the Blanchard River at Riverside Park. There is also abundant fishing, hiking and biking trails; and the Parks District hosts seasonal programs, including cross-country ski lessons and ski and snowshoe rentals.

Coffee Amici & George House Coffee & Tea
If athletics aren’t what you’re looking for, don’t worry!  Findlay has a lot of other locations where friends can get together, such as Coffee Amici and George House Coffee & Tea.  Coffee Amici is a coffee shop in Downtown Findlay that has delicious coffee, smoothies and treats from surrounding bakeries, and also displays local artwork and is a performance venue! The shop holds an open mic night every Friday at 8:00PM, and live music from local talent every Saturday starting at 8:00PM.  George House is located on North Main Street across from the University of Findlay, and offers delicious food, specialty drinks and a has unique atmosphere that includes a used book shop!

Sweet Treats

Findlay Village Mall & Trends on Main!

Of course, we can’t forget about shopping!  The Findlay Village Mall offers a variety of stores, including American Eagle, Aéropostale, Buckle, Journeys, Maurices, and T.J. Maxx.  In Findlay’s Downtown, a visit to Trends on Main! is a must. Full of awesome jewelry, purses and accessories, they also specialize in glittering formal dresses for all occasions – a teenage girls dream store!

These are only a few of the places Findlay offers for teens to go – we didn’t even mention the movie theater, athletic fields, skate park, swimming pool, or local festivals and concerts.
